The National Football League is the highest level of pro football in the United States. In real life, the NFL was established in 1920 as the 
American Professional Football League, with 11 teams. As of the "Battle" version of the NFL, the league consists of eight teams, which are all the teams of the AFC North and the NFC North.
The NFL is the most attended sports league in the world.
Season structure[]
Since 2002, the NFL season has been normally structured like this:
- a 6-game regular season running from September to December or January.
- a 1-game conference championship
Until 2011, the regular season games were normally played on the same day corresponding to the real life NFL games. But the games were moved the day before when Sidney Rice needed to make his schedule flexible enough, because of the fact he is an actual NFL player who also plays NFC North Battle.
Regular Season[]
Each teams embark on a six game schedule. The league uses a scheduling formula to predetermine which teams will be going to the playoffs. Each schedule consists of the following.
- Each team plays the other three teams in their division twice, once at home, once on the road.
Although the scheduling formula determines each team in the division.
Playoffs[]

The season concludes with a four team tournament that determines what team will be playing in the Super Bowl. The tournament brackets are made up of two teams from each of the leagues two conferences. This follows the 6 game regular season.
- Two teams who finished first from each conference
- Two teams who finished second from each conference
- All four teams half to finish with a season of 4-2 or greater
The first round of the playoffs start off with the championships. The championships is to determine which team should really win the divisional championships. The both losing teams are eliminated and the champions of the NFC and AFC advance to the Super Bowl. Whoever wins the Super Bowl wins the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Each April, each NFL Franchise adds new players to their rosters through selection. Each team is organized with the worst team picking first, to the best team picking last.
